Mission Statement:

ALLI empowers young minds, educates them on contemporary issues, and engages them in leadership opportunities in their communities.

What is Alli?

ALLI brings high school students in grades 9 - 12 together from across the region of southeastern CT to become educated on current health issues and develop leadership skills. Students also learn about community prevention initiatives that are aimed at reducing substance abuse and other risky behaviors.

2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR

Eight Montville High School students will be taking part in the Southeastern Regional Action Council’s (SERAC) Adolescent Learning and Leadership Institute (ALLI) this year.

The purpose of ALLI is to bring together students from across the region to learn about current health issues and to develop leadership skills. Members of ALLI will learn about prevention initiatives aimed at reducing substance abuse and other risky behaviors in Southeastern CT.

This year’s program will be based on the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey. The group meest with peers from area schools throughout the year at various hosting sites. We will be hosting the December meeting here at MHS in our auditorium and, most likely, one other future date.

I am excited about this year’s group and am confident that the time they spend at the meetings/events throughout the year will be productive and worthwhile.

When we travel to other schools our day will span from as early as 8:00 to 1:45 (Our pick up/drop off times vary depending on the meeting site).
