Welcome to the Palmer Building! Within the Palmer Building there are two distinct learning opportunities:
Montville High School's PBL Campus provides interested students with a project based learning curriculum and internships within the community.
Pathways provides a small setting for students who receive special education services. With the Circle of Courage as its foundation, Pathways creates positive healing connections through work in the classroom and community.

2019-2020 Paraeducator of the Year: Last Thursday we recognized Tyl Paraeducator Donna Wilson. Mayor McDaniel, Bob, MJ, Jason, Jen and I had the pleasure of surprising Donna as she brought her reading students into the Tyl library where her husband and son also awaited her. A para in our district since 1987, Donna works closely with reading consultant Amy Geary to support students' growth as readers. Amy's nomination for Donna states: "With student achievement and safety being her utmost concern, Mrs. Wilson sets out to establish a good rapport with her students; and in return, they respond positively to her instructions. She is knowledgeable about reading and how to implement researched interventions that turn struggling readers into proficient readers. Her understanding of reading development makes her a vital member of the reading data team. She works collaboratively and respectfully with all staff. She has a "can-do" attitude. As such she accomplishes any task that is given to her. When unexpected situations arise, she is flexible and will do what needs to be done for the sake of the students and staff. Donna is an exemplary dedicated, paraprofessional who is worthy of this honor. Donna expressed "I just had to let you know how honored I feel to have been selected for Paraprofessional of the Year. I am well aware that there are many paras in this district who do an outstanding job, and I am humbled to have been chosen. I was so completely shocked that I'm sure I did not adequately express how thrilled and thankful I feel to have been given such recognition for working at a job I truly love. I am so very fortunate to be doing something that (most of the time!) doesn't feel like work. I honestly love coming to school each day. Thank you again for such an honor.'
