MHS Morning Announcements

Students in grades 9-11 will be photographed for school pictures on today, September 17th and 18th during their English classes. Extra order forms are available in the main office.

Senior portrait retakes will be taken on September 18th. Seniors who are having a retake done or who haven’t had their senior portrait taken yet should go to the superintendents conference room during study hall or lunch time to have their pictures taken. THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE FOR SENIORS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE YEARBOOK!

Students who have not turned in their emergency health form should do so immediately. Please turn forms in to the nurse or main office. Replacement forms are available in both locations.

The first meeting of the International Club will be held in room 407 on Wednesday, September 18th at 2:15 PM. All are welcome to attend.

Are you interested in building your leadership skills? Consider joining ALLI – Members of ALLI participate in regional meetings with other high school students in an effort to develop social awareness initiatives through education, empowerment, and engagement. If you’re interested, see Mrs. Macri by Sept. 20th to pick up a registration form. Membership is limited to 15 students.

Attention ECE students. Now is the time to complete your ECE enrollment. If you do not enroll by September 30, 2019 you will not be eligible to receive UConn ECE credit. Attending a course does not constitute enrollment.

New England Institute of Technology, Eastern Connecticut State University, and Southern Connecticut State University will be coming for a visit on Wednesday, September 18th! If you are interested to hear more information about these colleges sign up at Senior Court or see Mrs. Melendez in room 309 - College and Careers.

Senior Late Arrival/Early Dismissal forms and Parking Pass applications are available in the main office.

Remember students ~ be respectful, responsible and always put forth your best effort.




Busses will be leaving the parking lot at exactly 2:10 every day.

Announcements will be read earlier and the bell will ring when announcements are complete, which will be a few minutes before 2:05.

Students taking the bus must move as quickly as possible in order for busses to roll out at 2:10.

Students who drive to school need a parking pass. Please come to the main office to pick up an application.

Attention all students: Ear-buds/earphones are only allowed in classrooms at the teacher's discretion. Earphones should not be visible in the hall during school hours, which means no ear-buds hanging off ears or shoulders. Large headphones/headsets are never allowed during school hours; 7:35 am to 2:05 pm.

LATE ARRIVAL/EARLY DISMISSAL forms are available in the main office.

LATE BUS: Any student participating in an after-school activity must obtain a late bus pass from their teacher or coach. The office will not issue late bus passes.

  • Late buses are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
  • There are no late buses MONDAYS and FRIDAYS

Available from 2:15 until 3:15. Open to all students.

  • Tuesday lab is in room 201.
  • Wednesday lab is in room 107.
  • Thursday lab is in room 205.


As of Monday May 1st, the cafeteria can no longer accept any new charging. All accounts must be paid in full. Please see Mrs. Osborn with any questions or concerns.

PARKING PASSES: Parking pass applications are available in the main office. All students driving to school need a pass.

Students driving to school need to park in Lot A (front of the school). Parking is not permitted in the back or side lots. No exceptions to the rule. Effective immediately cars will be towed at the owner's expense if the rules are not followed.

Student Emergency Health Forms
Students who have not returned their emergency health form to the nurse are reminded to do so. Forms may be obtained in the main office or from the nurse.


MHS CLASS DUES: What is it?

MHS seniors are expected to pay $100 in Class Dues. This is a one-time fee.
The dues are used to cover the costs of the graduation cap and gown, graduation announcements, and Senior Class Outing. Class Dues does not cover the yearbook.
When you make a payment, please make the checks payable to MHS, (write students name in the subject line) and have student being the check to their advisor.
