MHS Morning Announcements

National Honor Society is hosting a toiletry drive starting Wednesday, October 17th. Items may be dropped off in the foyer at the beginning of the day, in the large green bin, or in Mrs. Clifford’s and Ms. Halsey’s rooms. Recommended donations include toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, body wash, soap, etc. All donations benefit the local women’s shelter. The individual who brings in the most toiletries will win a Dunkin Donuts gift card.

There will be a boys basketball meeting after school Wednesday October, 17th in room 208. If you cannot attend please see Mr. Wainwright

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing on the MHS Girls Tennis Team on Thursday, October 18th, after school, in the cafeteria. If you are unable to attend the meeting contact coach Ted to sign up.

Update!!! Voter registration will be happening October 18th during all lunch waves! Bring school ID or driver permit if you are interested and will be 18 by Election Day 2019- this means almost all seniors can register! Teachers and administrators who are not yet registered to vote and live in-district are also welcome to register!

Student Government will be meeting on Thursday after school in the LIBRARY, not in Room 211.

There will be an indoor track and field meeting after school in the cafeteria today Wednesday, October 17th. If you cannot attend please see Coach Buckley.

Students staying after school need to report directly to their activity. Late bus passes must be obtained from your coach/club advisor. The office does not issue late bus passes. If your activity ends before 4PM ~ please report to the library. At 4 PM all students should report to the cafeteria to wait for the late buses.

Students wishing to take an alternate bus home from school must have a note from a parent or guardian turned into the main office by 12:30 PM.

Students who are interested in community service hours after school should see Mr. Dawe in room 203. There is an opportunity to volunteer at Montville Youth Service Bureau located across the street at the Fair Oaks Building from 2:45 -5:30. See Mr. Dawe for an application.

Seniors – please pay your senior class dues! The dues are $100. Please bring your payment to Miss Fish in room 107.

All students who drive to school need a parking pass. Parking Pass applications are located in the Main Office.

Remember students ~ be respectful, responsible and always put forth your best effort.




Busses will be leaving the parking lot at exactly 2:10 every day.

Announcements will be read earlier and the bell will ring when announcements are complete, which will be a few minutes before 2:05.

Students taking the bus must move as quickly as possible in order for busses to roll out at 2:10.

Students who drive to school need a parking pass. Please come to the main office to pick up an application.

Attention all students: Ear-buds/earphones are only allowed in classrooms at the teacher's discretion. Earphones should not be visible in the hall during school hours, which means no ear-buds hanging off ears or shoulders. Large headphones/headsets are never allowed during school hours; 7:35 am to 2:05 pm.

LATE ARRIVAL/EARLY DISMISSAL forms are available in the main office.

LATE BUS: Any student participating in an after-school activity must obtain a late bus pass from their teacher or coach. The office will not issue late bus passes.

  • Late buses are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
  • There are no late buses MONDAYS and FRIDAYS

Available from 2:15 until 3:15. Open to all students.

  • Tuesday lab is in room 201.
  • Wednesday lab is in room 107.
  • Thursday lab is in room 205.


As of Monday May 1st, the cafeteria can no longer accept any new charging. All accounts must be paid in full. Please see Mrs. Osborn with any questions or concerns.

PARKING PASSES: Parking pass applications are available in the main office. All students driving to school need a pass.

Students driving to school need to park in Lot A (front of the school). Parking is not permitted in the back or side lots. No exceptions to the rule. Effective immediately cars will be towed at the owner's expense if the rules are not followed.

Student Emergency Health Forms
Students who have not returned their emergency health form to the nurse are reminded to do so. Forms may be obtained in the main office or from the nurse.


MHS CLASS DUES: What is it?

MHS seniors are expected to pay $100 in Class Dues. This is a one-time fee.
The dues are used to cover the costs of the graduation cap and gown, graduation announcements, and Senior Class Outing. Class Dues does not cover the yearbook.
When you make a payment, please make the checks payable to MHS, (write students name in the subject line) and have student being the check to their advisor.
