Welcome to Tyl Middle School!

It is with great honor and privilege that I welcome everyone to Leonard J. Tyl Middle School. Your children, our students, are why we are here. We want them to not only excel academically, but to also learn about respect, ethical and responsible decision-making, and social skills, which we, at Leonard J. Tyl Middle School, consider to be equally important. We will continue to strive to create an environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and respected. It is our intention that the middle level years at the Tyl Middle School will provide each student with a successful and productive school experience.

NEW! Important school dates: The 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance will be held on Friday, June 12 at 7:00 pm at Tyl Middle School. The date for 8th grade Promotion has been set! Eighth graders will be graduating on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 6:30 pm. The last day of school for 6th & 7th graders is Thursday, June 18, 2009.

NEW! Congratulations to 8th Grade guidance counselor, Mrs. Paglino, for receiving the Montville Marvel. Mrs. Paglino took the lead in organizing the Community Resource Fair. Also, congratulations to 7th grade student, Tsering Dolma, who received the Montville Marvel for helping fellow Tibetan students adjust to the community and the school and for her hard work in learning the English language.
