About the Montville Integrated Preschool Program
Updated 10/14/08
- The Montville Integrated Preschool is a reverse mainstream, early childhood program located at Oakdale Elementary School.
- We use a curriculum based on the Connecticut Preschool Frameworks. Modifications are made individually for those with special needs. We differentiate for all learners based on learning style, interests, and abilities
- We believe that all children can learn.
- All teachers in the program are highly qualified and are state certified in early childhood education
- We value and celebrate diversity.
- We strive to maintain a 50-50 ratio of children with special needs to children with more typical development.
- There are three classrooms, each with a morning session and an afternoon session. Currently, the Montville Integrated Preschool serves about 60 Montville children.
- Classes meet four half-days per week (Monday through Thursday).
