GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE/PARENTS

 

It is the policy of the Board of Education to secure at the lowest possible level equitable solutions to problems which may arise between parents and school personnel.

a. If a parent has a problem, complaint, or grievance with a teacher, the parent will first discuss the matter personally with the teacher to resolve it.

b. If the parent is not satisfied with the outcome with the personal contact mentioned above, the parent may then consult with the principal.

c. If the parent is not satisfied with the outcome of the conference with the principal, the parent may then consult with the superintendent or assistant superintendent.

d. If the parent is not satisfied with the outcome of the conference with the superintendent or assistant superintendent, the matter may then be referred to the Board of Education.
