Senior Internship:
This program is designed to introduce students to the career of their choice.
The student reports to class the first semester. During this time the student
is instructed on resumes, cover letters, interviews, career research, employment
applications, tax documentations, effective communication, and employment law.
Once the student has successfully completed first semester, the student will
receive a placement in a local business which matches his/her career choice.
Exploring Career Opportunities:
This program introduces special education students to the workplace. The STC
staff provides a placement at a worksite that matches the student’s interest.
This placement starts in September and ends in June.
Job Shadowing:
Upon student request, the School-to-Career staff will set up job shadow opportunities.
Once the request is made, it may take up to three weeks for a job shadow to
take place. A permission slip signed by a parent/guardian is required.
