Last call for the Escape Room. Any groups interested in playing the haunted escape room must contact Mrs. Do in room 324. The final day to compete is next Wednesday! Will you escape MHS?

Yearbook orders are due today. Order forms are in the main office.

The Student Government food drive contest is underway! Bring in canned foods to help local families and place it in your class's shopping cart in the lobby at the beginning of the school day. The class with the most donations by today will win $200! Visit mhsgov.org for more info.

There is a collection box in the main office for socks, hats, and mittens sponsored by the Teamsters Local 493. Items are needed for men, women, and children.


Remember students ~ be respectful, responsible, and always put forth your best effort.

AP US HISTORY:

All students who are signed up for AP US History next year please stop in room 208 and get your summer reading assignment from Mr. Wainwright.

CLASS RING ORDERS:

It is not too late to order your Class Ring and receive it with the rest of your class! Orders will be taken on June 1st during all lunch waves in the cafeteria. A $50 deposit is requested when placing your order. Design your custom ring on-line at Jostens.com or pick up a ring packet in the main office.

Montville Arts Council’s Annual Book Sale

Get your summer reading for the beach

All funds support our programs for the arts here at MHS.

Books are now on display in the media center. We are hoping they will travel to senior court for lunch waves.

  • $1 paperbacks
  • $2 hardcovers

If you would like to donate your books to us, we are happy to take them. They should have some resale value to our audience of students and teachers.

YEARBOOKS:
There are a limited number of yearbooks for sale in room 804. The cost is $75 cash only. First come first served.

JUST A REMINDER


BUS INFORMATION

Busses will be leaving the parking lot at exactly 2:10 every day.

Announcements will be read earlier and the bell will ring when announcements are complete, which will be a few minutes before 2:05.

Students taking the bus must move as quickly as possible in order for busses to roll out at 2:10.

DRIVING TO SCHOOL
Students who drive to school need a parking pass. Please come to the main office to pick up an application.

EAR-BUDS/HEADPHONES
Attention all students: Ear-buds/earphones are only allowed in classrooms at the teacher's discretion. Earphones should not be visible in the hall during school hours, which means no ear-buds hanging off ears or shoulders. Large headphones/headsets are never allowed during school hours; 7:35 am to 2:05 pm.

LATE ARRIVAL/EARLY DISMISSAL forms are available in the main office.

LATE BUS: Any student participating in an after-school activity must obtain a late bus pass from their teacher or coach. The office will not issue late bus passes.

  • Late buses are available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
  • There are no late buses MONDAYS and FRIDAYS

MATH LAB
Available from 2:15 until 3:15. Open to all students.

  • Tuesday lab is in room 201.
  • Wednesday lab is in room 107.
  • Thursday lab is in room 205.

MEAL ACCOUNTS

As of Monday May 1st, the cafeteria can no longer accept any new charging. All accounts must be paid in full. Please see Mrs. Osborn with any questions or concerns.

PARKING PASSES: Parking pass applications are available in the main office. All students driving to school need a pass.

STUDENTS DRIVING TO SCHOOL
Students driving to school need to park in Lot A (front of the school). Parking is not permitted in the back or side lots. No exceptions to the rule. Effective immediately cars will be towed at the owner's expense if the rules are not followed.

Student Emergency Health Forms
Students who have not returned their emergency health form to the nurse are reminded to do so. Forms may be obtained in the main office or from the nurse.

MHS CLASS DUES: What is it?

MHS seniors are expected to pay $100 in Class Dues. This is a one-time fee.
The dues are used to cover the costs of the graduation cap and gown, graduation announcements, and Senior Class Outing. Class Dues does not cover the yearbook.
When you make a payment, please make the checks payable to MHS, (write students name in the subject line) and have student being the check to their advisor.
If you have any further questions, contact the Class Advisor.

TAG SALE: June 10th, the Class of 2018 will be hosting Tag Sales at the Old Town Hall. The students are hoping to raise money to put toward class expenses. If you have any items that you would like to donate, please save them for our tag sale and drop them off in room 404 or room 103. Your support is truly appreciated!

MATH TEAM

Math team is still accepting new team members.
We meet Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, come as often as you’re able. Math Team meets in room 201 and studies new topics after each monthly meet that reflect the topics you do in your math class. All while you eat great snacks of course.

Is it too late to join math team you ask? NO. In fact there are math scholars roaming the halls of MHS still wondering if they should give it a try. This is an easy problem to solve. Stop by room 201.
