PEST MANAGEMENT CONTROL PLAN

Effective on July 1, 2000, the State of Connecticut mandated that an Integrated Pest Management Program be in effect for all school systems in Connecticut. This program is designed to significantly reduce the amount of pesticides being used in our schools. The program is designed to use baits, insect growth regulators, and low toxicity pesticides to prevent and eliminate any pests. Montville contracted with Waltham Pest Control to monitor your school and help keep it free of all pests. The plan allows for advance notification (normally 24 hours) to any person who desires to be warned in the event that a spraying application is to take place at the school. A list of those who request this notification will be kept on file in the IPM notebook. Any spraying application that does take place will happen when the school is not being used. If you wish to be notified, please put that request in writing and send it in to the Principal.
