EARLY DISMISSALS: PARENT REQUEST

Early dismissal requests must be in writing from the parent or guardian. This note is to be brought to the office before the student reports to class. Parents who wish to have their child dismissed early are required to stop at the office to sign the student out. Persons unknown to the school office personnel must be the individual authorized in writing by the parent and will be required to show proper identification. The office will then call the student from their classroom. No student is permitted to leave the building or school grounds without proper authorization. Last minute phone calls are discouraged, as office personnel cannot be sure of the caller's identity.

SNOW DAYS - EARLY DISMISSAL

LATE START

Snow days are inevitable. School may be closed, have a late start or an early dismissal. When these situations occur, announcements are broadcast on the following TV and radio stations:

WCTY 97.7 FM

NOTE: In the event of early dismissal due to inclement weather, parents are advised to have PREVIOUS ARRANGEMENTS for students to follow when the parent will not be home. PTO sponsors a call-out list to notify parents of an early dismissal. Forms will be sent home in the fall. You must return the form to be placed on the call-out list.
