General purpose for being a member of Montville High School's baseball team:
• To receive a variety of experiences to aid in the development of favorable habits and attitudes that will prepare you for adult life.
• To participate in a high school baseball program and to assist your team in achieving its goals. At the same time, with much determination and ability, be given an opportunity to possibly play baseball at an advanced level.
• To receive your diploma from this institution and hopefully, to go on and get a college education.
• To develop life long friends in an atmosphere of cordiality and purpose, both on and off the baseball field.
As baseball coaches, it is our responsibility to assist each team member in the above. This will be accomplished by:
• Monitoring each team member's courses and grades to insure that you are faithfully attending class and doing the work necessary to achieve graduation and stay eligible.
• Giving each team member the best possible baseball education to assure that they respond properly on the playing field so that the team may achieve its goals.
• To allow each team member the opportunity to develop their skills to make them more attractive to collegiate coaches.
• To assist, to the best of our abilities, each team member that has desires to continue their education and/or playing careers.
