A note
regarding the summer reading booklist form: There are 2
new Nutmeg Book lists. The two lists are
targeted toward 4th - 6th graders and
7th - 8th graders respectively. However, if a child has
read 1 or more books on either list, the child may vote for that level.
For example, if a 3rd grader has read Gifts From the Sea, he may vote
for it. Or, if a 5th grader has read Airborn, she may vote for it. 6th
graders may choose to read either list or both. However, this does not
mean that every book on the 4-6th grade list is appropriate for a 3rd
grader or that every 5th grader need read from the 7-8th grade list. Decide
how best to make Nutmeg's new flexibility work for you, and use your best
judgment. Enjoy!!
