Checking Out Material
Students and parents may check out materials the second week of school through
the end of May. Kindergartners take out books at the end of October. Any child
grades 1- 5 may come to the Library Media Center and return and check-out a
book during Open Book Exchange time (Every day from 8:55 - 10:30) as long as
they do not interrupt instruction. They need to check-out with Mrs. Johnson.
Kindergarten, first grade and second grade students are allowed to have
out three books at a time. They are due back in four school days (check the
due date slip in the back of the book). Kindergarteners and first graders are
allowed 2 overdue books and second graders are allowed only 1 overdue book at
a time. We will hold a book for a student overnight only (See RESERVES &
HOLDS under GENERAL INFORMATION for more information on holds.).
Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are allowed to have out four books
at a time. They are due back in nine school days (check the due date slip in
the back of the book). They are allowed 1 overdue book at a time. We will hold

INFORMATION for more information on holds.).If students are working on special
projects we allow them to have more books.
