Special Needs Program

Mohegan School has a special needs classroom where students requiring varying degrees of specialized instruction are placed. These students work mostly with a special education teacher and special education staff members. Wherever possible, special needs students are included in the general education setting with their typical peers. The amount of instruction in each area for each child is determined at his/her Planning and Placement Team meeting and is part of his/her annual Individualized Education Program.
