STUDENT RECORDS


Records are kept for the purpose of collecting data to promote the educational progress of the student. Consent must be obtained from a parent or 18-year old student before any personal data is transmitted to a third party outside of the school system. A parental written request to inspect and review records will be honored within ten (10) days of request and not less than three (3) days if information is needed to plan for a hearing or P.P.T. If you feel your child’s education records contain information that is inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of privacy, a written request for an amendment can be made to Palmer Academy. Requests will be acted upon within a two-week period. All records are maintained in a locked fireproof file.
